nCino Admin Health Check for Community Banks & Credit Unions
A quick self-check for the person who looks after nCino at your bank or credit union. Use it to spot small problems before they turn into big ones.
1. Who has access
Access that nobody reviews is the most common way a system drifts out of control.
2. Support requests
Problems that nobody owns tend to come back.
3. Making changes safely
A change that goes straight to your live system can interrupt the work of every loan officer.
4. Upgrades and new releases
nCino sends out new releases on a regular schedule. Surprises are avoidable.
5. Loan process and data
The system should match how your team really works today.
6. Who covers when the admin is out
A system that only one person understands is a risk.
How to read your results
- Most boxes ticked in a section: that area is in good shape. Keep doing what you are doing.
- About half ticked: you have gaps that will cause trouble over time. Pick one or two to fix this month.
- Few ticked: start here. This is where problems and surprises tend to come from.
nCino is the loan and account opening system many banks and credit unions run on. If you are not sure what some of these terms mean, our key terms list explains them in plain words.
