Salesforce Health Check

A quick self-check for anyone who looks after Salesforce at your company. Use it to find out whether Salesforce is helping your team or slowing it down.

How to use this: Go through each section and tick every statement that is true for your team today. Be honest. A box you cannot tick is not a failure, it is a spot to look at first. It takes about 15 minutes.

1. Users and access

Every login is a door into your customer data.

2. Data quality

Bad data makes every report wrong.

3. Automation

Automation saves time, but old and overlapping automation causes strange errors.

4. Reports and dashboards

If nobody looks at it, it is clutter.

5. Setup and clutter

Years of small additions can make Salesforce confusing for everyone.

6. Ownership and safety

Salesforce needs an owner, even a part-time one.

How to read your results

  • Most boxes ticked in a section: that area is in good shape. Keep doing what you are doing.
  • About half ticked: you have gaps that will cause trouble over time. Pick one or two to fix this month.
  • Few ticked: start here. This is where problems and surprises tend to come from.
